Lincat OE8206/C Opus 800 Hard Chrome Electric Griddle – 900mm, 12kW

The Lincat OE8206/C is a premium heavy-duty 900mm electric griddle from the professional Opus 800 range, featuring a hard chrome cooking surface for excellent cooking performance, easier cleaning and reduced heat radiation into the kitchen.

Ideally suited to busy restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, hospitals, care homes and other demanding high-volume commercial kitchens, the OE8206/C combines a substantial cooking area with powerful 12kW electric heating.

The hard chrome cooking surface offers several advantages over a conventional machined-steel griddle plate. Its smooth finish helps reduce food sticking and makes the surface easier to clean, while reduced heat radiation helps create a more comfortable working environment and reduces unnecessary heat loss into the kitchen.

Two separately controlled heat zones provide excellent flexibility during service, allowing different areas of the griddle to operate at different temperatures. During quieter periods, this also allows the operator to use only the cooking area required rather than heating the complete surface.

With its generous 900mm width, the OE8206/C provides ample cooking capacity for breakfasts, bacon, eggs and sausages as well as burgers, steaks, chicken, fish and vegetables.

The OE8206/C is designed as a countertop appliance but can also be combined with the OA8914 900mm open floor stand or OA8973 900mm pedestal with doors to create a complete free-standing cooking station. Both options are available separately.

Important Electrical Requirement -

The OE8206/C is a high-powered 12kW commercial electric griddle and DOES NOT operate from a standard 13A plug.

The griddle can be configured for a 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase electrical supply and requires a dedicated hardwired electrical connection.

When configured for 230V single-phase operation, the electrical load is approximately 52.2A. For commercial kitchens with a suitable three-phase supply, the griddle can instead be configured for 400V three-phase operation.

Professional installation by a suitably qualified electrician is required. The available electrical supply and installation requirements should always be checked before ordering.

For kitchens that do not require the additional benefits of a hard chrome cooking surface, the 900mm Opus 800 electric griddle is also available with Lincat's traditional smooth machined-steel plate.

The OE8206 provides the same substantial 900mm format and powerful 12kW electric performance with a conventional smooth machined-steel cooking surface, making it an excellent lower-cost alternative to the chrome model.

A half-ribbed / half-flat machined-steel OE8206/R version is also available. This effectively provides two cooking surfaces in one, combining a traditional smooth griddle area with a ribbed section capable of adding attractive grill and sear marks to steaks, burgers, chicken and other foods.
