Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains your rights when buying from Nationwide Catering Equipment Ltd (Company No. 13212308, VAT No. GB 382965060). It sits alongside our Terms of Service, which cover warranty, installation, and other purchase conditions in more detail, and our Privacy Policy.

Your right to cancel — new equipment bought online (business customers)

If you are purchasing as a business, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply to your order. There is no automatic statutory right to cancel once an order has been placed.

Cancellations may be considered at our discretion before dispatch. If we agree to cancel your order, we reserve the right to charge a restocking or administration fee.

Once goods have been dispatched, we are unable to accept cancellations. If you wish to return equipment, please refer to the relevant section below.

To request a pre-dispatch cancellation, contact us:

Faulty used equipment

Used equipment is sold with a 14-day faulty-returns window, starting from the date of collection or delivery. If a fault develops within that period, contact us using any of the channels above as soon as possible and we will arrange the return and a refund or replacement at our discretion.

The item must be returned in the same condition it was sold, and any installation must have been carried out by a qualified catering engineer (proof may be requested — typically an engineer’s report and invoice).

Used equipment is otherwise sold under the HMRC VAT Margin Scheme and is sold as seen, with no further right of return outside the faulty-returns window above.

New equipment — manufacturer warranty and faulty returns

New equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty stated on the listing. If an item arrives faulty or develops a fault within the warranty period, contact us and we will coordinate with the manufacturer to arrange repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.

Special-order items supplied direct from the manufacturer, and items that have been installed, used or modified, are not returnable outside a warranty claim.

How to start a return

  1. Contact us by email, WhatsApp, or phone within the relevant window above.
  2. Tell us your order number, the item, and (if faulty) what’s wrong.
  3. We’ll confirm return instructions and the address, and tell you whether shipping is at your cost or ours.
  4. Once we receive the item back and confirm condition, we will process any refund as soon as practicable. Refunds typically land on the original payment method within 5–10 working days of processing.
