Lincat OE8205/C Opus 800 Hard Chrome Electric Griddle – 600mm, 8kW

The Lincat OE8205/C is a premium heavy-duty 600mm electric griddle from the professional Opus 800 range, featuring a hard chrome cooking surface for excellent cooking performance, easier cleaning and reduced heat radiation into the kitchen.

Ideally suited to busy restaurants, pubs, hotels, schools, hospitals, care homes and other demanding commercial kitchens, the OE8205/C combines powerful 8kW electric heating with a generous cooking surface in a relatively compact 600mm-wide footprint.

The hard chrome cooking surface offers several advantages over a conventional machined-steel griddle plate. Its smooth finish helps reduce food sticking and makes the surface easier to clean, while reduced heat radiation helps create a more comfortable working environment and reduces unnecessary heat loss into the kitchen.

Two separately controlled heat zones provide excellent flexibility during service, allowing different areas of the griddle to operate at different temperatures. During quieter periods, this also allows the operator to use only the cooking area required.

The OE8205/C is designed as a countertop appliance but can also be combined with the OA8917 600mm open floor stand or OA8972 600mm pedestal with doors to create a complete free-standing cooking station. Both options are available separately.

Important Electrical Requirement -

The OE8205/C is a powerful 8kW commercial electric griddle and DOES NOT operate from a standard 13A plug.

The griddle can be configured for a 230V single-phase or 400V three-phase electrical supply and requires a dedicated hardwired connection. When connected to 230V single phase, the electrical load is approximately 34.8A.

Professional installation by a suitably qualified electrician is required, and the available electrical supply should be checked before ordering.

For kitchens that do not require the additional benefits of a hard chrome cooking surface, the 600mm Opus 800 electric griddle is also available with Lincat's traditional smooth machined-steel plate.

The OE8205 provides the same 600mm format and powerful 8kW electric performance with a conventional machined-steel cooking surface, making it an excellent lower-cost alternative to the chrome model.

A half-ribbed / half-flat machined-steel OE8205/R version is also available for kitchens wanting the versatility of a smooth cooking area together with a ribbed section for adding attractive grill and sear marks to food.
