Lincat IH21 Specialist Twin Zone Countertop Induction Hob – 3kW, 13A Plug-In

The Lincat IH21 is a compact twin-zone commercial induction hob from Lincat’s Specialist range, providing two independently controlled cooking zones within a narrow 350mm wide countertop unit. It is an excellent option for commercial kitchens wanting the flexibility of two induction cooking zones without requiring a high-powered hardwired electrical supply.

The IH21 has a larger rear zone rated at 2kW during normal operation and a smaller front zone rated at 1kW. Both zones also feature a boost function, with the hob automatically managing its available power so that the maximum combined electrical load does not exceed 3kW.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENT – despite having two induction cooking zones, the IH21 requires only ONE standard 13A electrical supply. It operates from 230V single phase and is supplied with a standard UK 3-pin plug. It does NOT require hardwiring or a three-phase supply, and Lincat specifies that professional installation is not required.

The two differently sized induction zones make the IH21 particularly versatile when using different sizes of cookware. Lincat recommends a minimum pan base diameter of 180mm on the larger rear zone and 120mm on the smaller front zone.

Suitable cookware must have a flat, magnetic induction-compatible base. This makes the IH21 suitable for a wide range of commercial induction-compatible saucepans, frying pans, sauté pans and cooking pots, with larger cookware suited to the rear zone and smaller pans to the front.

Automatic pan detection helps improve safety and efficiency by detecting suitable cookware on the cooking surface. The IH21 also features straightforward mechanical rotary controls and a durable Ceran glass cooking surface for easy cleaning.
