Lincat IH42 Specialist Four Zone Countertop Induction Hob – 6kW, 2 x 13A Plug-In

The Lincat IH42 is a powerful four-zone commercial induction hob from Lincat’s Specialist range, providing four independently controlled cooking zones within a compact 600mm wide countertop unit. It offers considerably greater cooking capacity than the smaller IH3 and IH21 models while retaining the convenience of plug-in electrical connections.

With a total rated power of 6kW, the IH42 is effectively arranged as two 3kW induction sections, providing four cooking zones together with boost functionality when additional power is required.

IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENT – the IH42 requires TWO separate 13A electrical supplies. It operates from a 230V single-phase supply and has 2 x 13A electrical connections. BOTH plugs must be connected to suitable 13A sockets to operate the unit as intended.

This means the IH42 does not require a high-current hardwired or three-phase connection, but customers MUST ensure that two suitable 13A sockets and adequate electrical capacity are available at the installation position. It should not be mistaken for a four-zone hob that operates from a single 13A socket.

The four induction zones provide excellent flexibility for simultaneously cooking with multiple pans. Suitable cookware must have a flat, magnetic induction-compatible base. Commercial induction-compatible saucepans, frying pans, sauté pans and cooking pots can all be used, provided their bases are appropriately sized for the cooking zones.

Induction technology generates heat directly within suitable cookware, providing fast and highly responsive cooking. Automatic pan detection cuts power when no suitable pan is present, while the boost function provides additional power when required.

The IH42 features easy-to-use rotary controls with LED power-level displays and a durable 6mm thick high-impact-resistant ceramic glass cooking surface. Internal cooling and overheat protection are also incorporated for demanding commercial use.
